# Online Tuition Padho > Live online English classes for children in Class 1 to 8, taught by Ankita Mehta. Specialism: Hindi-speaking children who know the answer in Hindi but cannot write the sentence in English. Serves families in India and Indian families living abroad. Tagline: Hindi mein socho, English mein likho. ## Key facts - **What is taught:** English only. Grammar first, then literature. Not a general tuition service, not maths or science. - **Who it is for:** Class 1 to 8. Hindi-speaking children in India, and Indian families who have recently moved to the UAE, USA, UK, Canada, Australia or Singapore. - **The specific problem solved:** the child understands the chapter and can answer in Hindi in ten seconds, but freezes when the answer has to be written in English. This is a conversion problem, not a knowledge problem. - **Teacher:** Ankita Mehta. She teaches every batch personally. No rotating tutors, no pre-recorded videos. - **Format:** live classes on Zoom or Google Meet, three times a week, 45 to 60 minutes. Recordings shared for revision only. - **Batch size:** capped at 6 children, so every child reads aloud, writes and is corrected in every class. - **Trial:** free 30 minute demo class. It is a real lesson, not a sales call, and the parent is welcome to sit in. - **Contact:** WhatsApp +91 97119 27500 · https://onlinetutionpadho.com/#demo - **Boards covered:** CBSE, ICSE and state boards, plus school systems abroad. ## Courses 1. **English Grammar Foundation, Class 1 to 4** — nouns, pronouns, verbs, is/am/are, simple tenses, building a correct 5 to 8 word sentence, picture description, reading aloud with confidence. 2. **English Grammar and Writing, Class 5 to 8** (most popular) — all tenses, active and passive voice, reported speech, articles and prepositions in real sentences, paragraph, essay, letter and notice writing, answer writing for school exams, weekly written homework with personal correction. 3. **English Literature Support, Class 5 to 8** — reading comprehension, unseen passages, poems and stories from the school textbook, character sketches, long answer structure, chapter vocabulary used in writing. ## The method, in four steps 1. **Say it in Hindi.** The child says the whole answer aloud in Hindi first, with no correction. Confidence before correctness. 2. **Find the three parts.** Who is doing it, what they are doing, when or where. The child learns to see a sentence as movable pieces. 3. **Rebuild in English order.** Who first, then the action, then the details. Built on paper one piece at a time, never the whole sentence at once. 4. **Write it and read it aloud.** Hearing their own correct English sentence is what makes the pattern stick. Worked example: मैंने कल अपना होमवर्क पूरा किया। Word for word this becomes "I yesterday my homework complete did", which is wrong. Built in English order it becomes "I completed my homework yesterday." ## What parents can expect | Time | Change | |---|---| | 2 weeks | Child attempts the answer instead of leaving it blank | | 4 weeks | Writes 5 correct sentences unaided on any picture or topic | | 8 weeks | Writes a clean 8 to 10 line paragraph with tenses holding | | 12 weeks | Attempts school long answers in English without asking for Hindi first | | Monthly | Short written progress note to parents on WhatsApp | ## Common questions **Why can a child answer in Hindi but not write in English?** They form the answer in Hindi then swap word for word in the same order. Hindi puts the verb at the end, English puts it after the subject, so the sentence collapses. **Should parents stop speaking Hindi at home?** No. This is the most damaging common mistake. Hindi is the thinking language and the raw material the English sentence is built from. **Which grammar should a young child learn first?** Seven things in order: naming and doing words, is/am/are, singular and plural, a/an/the, simple present and past, sentence order, capitals and full stops. **How many English tenses are there?** Twelve, but really three times each with four shapes. Four carry most school marks: simple present, simple past, present continuous, present perfect. **How do you write a paragraph in Class 4?** A five-line shape: name the topic, one fact, an example or small story, why it matters to you, then close it. Line three earns the most marks. **Why do Indian children struggle with English after moving abroad?** Indian schools mark accuracy, schools abroad mark production and personal opinion. The child is measured on something never taught. ## Free guides for parents - Knows the answer in Hindi, can't write it in English: https://onlinetutionpadho.com/blog/child-knows-answer-in-hindi-cannot-write-english/ - English grammar for Class 1 to 5, the 7 basics: https://onlinetutionpadho.com/blog/english-grammar-class-1-to-5-basics/ - All 12 tenses chart for kids with Hindi examples: https://onlinetutionpadho.com/blog/tenses-chart-for-kids/ - Paragraph writing for Class 4 and 5: https://onlinetutionpadho.com/blog/paragraph-writing-for-class-4-and-5/ - English writing practice at home, 15 minutes a day: https://onlinetutionpadho.com/blog/english-writing-practice-at-home/ - Indian kids struggling with English abroad: https://onlinetutionpadho.com/blog/nri-kids-english-school-abroad/ - Class 6 English grammar, all topics and where the marks are: https://onlinetutionpadho.com/blog/cbse-class-6-english-grammar-guide/ - How to write long answers in English: https://onlinetutionpadho.com/blog/how-to-write-long-answers-in-english/ - 21 English mistakes Hindi-speaking kids make: https://onlinetutionpadho.com/blog/common-english-mistakes-hindi-speakers/ - Online English classes vs home tuition: https://onlinetutionpadho.com/blog/online-english-classes-vs-tuition/ ## Contact - Book a free demo class: https://onlinetutionpadho.com/#demo - WhatsApp: https://wa.me/919711927500 - Website: https://onlinetutionpadho.com
